JUST A NOTE --

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
- Thomas Jefferson

Let's face it - Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts changes everything, taking the Democrat's supermajority away. It is a new day in America - and people are ready to Take Back America one state at a time: Virginia, New Jersey, and now Massachusetts.

Scott Brown's amazing upset in Massachusetts - winning The People's Seat - removes the speed bump to take back America, as the American people's voices are heard. No more Louisiana purchases, Cornhusker bribes, union buy-outs, corrupt back-room dealings and big-government steamrollers.

The overwhelming victory in Massachusetts is a game-changer. Obama's broken promises were the referendum vote. Senator-to-be-Brown is right - we CAN do better.

Will the leadership get the message? Time will tell, but the American people spoke.

America can do better - and Americans are willing to take to the streets to take back our country.

I, meself, have a renewed patriotism. I have been comtiplating putting this blog to bed since last Oct.. But as many have said "we all need every dog in this fight."

After last nights victory - let me say this to all of you that visit this blog - the victory wasn't a red (republican) win or a blue (democrat) lose. It was truely a win for our founders and a win for us Americans. We the People - We won.

That was one battle and the war is just begining. I will stay in this fight and promise to give my service to you, my fellow citizens of this great nation. I am re-energized and ready to KEEP THE FIGHT!

It is indeed a new day in America. sharky

Hey You Ole Dog Shark,

I am glad you are not hanging up the ole keyboard. An Army is composed of many elements, rifle men, artillery units, generals, orderlys, slackers (threw that in so I felt I was doing something) and so on.

Taking a Beacon Hill, one at a time, is how freedom was earned a long time ago so the battle rages for the duration. Once we win, we start the defensive fight to keep what we have won.

We are all unique in the contributions we offer, we vote, we blog, we organize, we contribute, we articulate the beliefs we hold dear and sometimes we hold on for dear life.

Keep poking the keys. As Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over until yah give up to the fat asses that think they can sing for yah", okay that is a loose translation, but then, Yogi would swing at anything if he thought it would help the home team win.

jaded(optimistically)fellow,

ps

Sorry about going overboard, but your contributions are worth walking the gang plank.

At the risk of getting slammed here it is.

I voted for Brown because Kennedy had no chance of success and Brown is certainly better than Coakley by a long shot. The lesser of two evbils if you will.

Before us real independent conservatives get to excited take a look at Brown's record as a Mass state legislature. You will find he is moderate to slightly liberal by record. He supported Mass. health care, which already is in trouble.

I voted for him, but he bears close watch. I am very skeptical that he will be the sea change in Massachusetts every one seems to believe he will be.

We all need to keep fighting. And we need to do so on campaign finance reform (although the court just struck some laws inn this area down today), eliminating special influence, encouraging strong third party candidates etc.

I am hoping Brown lives up to his billing. Gut we'll just have to wait and see.
