WE WILL FEEL THIS ONE FOR A LONG TIME TO COME

This spill is the largest in US history and the ecological damage will be ( I fear ) disastrous at least. The economical impact will be felt for years to come. Fisherman, cruise ships, ports, restaurants, the trickle down effect is beyond my comprehension. This is the story the boys in the 10 sq. mile DC, temple of the gods don't want you to hear or see.

Just to start, this isn't a O'bama or Bush alone blame game. This is 50+ year problem. Big oil's throat hold and back pocket grab of big gubbermint. Yes I do think oil is our main and chief source of fuel and will remain for years to come. There is no other fuel source that works as well on the scale we consume. The deregulating of off shore drilling by the repubs. and the liberal B.S. of drilling in deeper water to keep it farther out of reach is both to blame. When will we force gubbermint to do the right thing, not the profitable thing?
Hint: When we put the heel of our boots on their throat!

AND SOME GOOD OL'BOYS USE THEIR BRAINS AND COME UP WITH A SIMPLE SOLUTION FOR CLEAN-UP. SOMETHING THE GUBBERMINT CANNOT DO!

Hell, I'm glad someone else gets it besides me. Forcing oil companies to go further offshore will only result in further disasters. Obama is laughing at us now.

BPB- all the libs are. And to think of it so is the right. Now the gas prices will soar and we will be bilked for the clean up. Even if the fact that every barrel pumped is taxed,a portion, for just this sort of thing.
Funny how (put on the foil cap here) a coal mine, a refinery, and oil rig all explode within a tight time frame. Would push the green agenda higher up the need to do list. But that has a Katrina-Bush-levee sound to it!
Okay, you can remove your Hersey kiss hat now.
