JUMPING FORWARD A TAD HERE

Taking a step forward here, cause this has been a subject of news stories of late.  States rights were NOT given to us by government. They were demanded by the states themselves. Do not believe,  well read it and weep, you of little freedom faith.

You are correct. Ratification of our Constitution was made possible by the Bill of Rights, which meant the states were the ultimate deciders.

The federal government was a necessary inconvenience at the time of the signing. It is now the holy grail of the Progressives.

Your right. And, it would seem that States' rights should override Federal infringements (laws) in most cases. Federal laws are not supposed to infringe upon our liberty and freedom. States' rights are used as a safeguard against that. Government does not give out rights.
